Questions? Here are some FAQs
Why are we doing this now?
We've wanted to bring together early stage investors to host video pitches for a while, and we think now is the right time to experiment with this to help founders fundraising through Covid-19.
Are founders who pitch at the weekly demo day guaranteed investment?
Fair question! No, Fundraise From Home is a platform to pitch to a group of early stage investors, but it does not guarantee investment. Interested investors will follow-up with founders after they pitch with next steps.
Who sees my application?
Only Weekend Fund and other participating investors see applications. Details will stay private to us.
Is there a deadline to apply?
We will have weekly sessions of Fundraise From Home for 3 weeks:
Week 1 (w/o 11th May) deadline: Friday 8th May
Week 2 (w/o 18th May) deadline: Friday 15th May
Week 3 (w/o 25th May) deadline: Friday 22nd May
Which stage does my company need to be in?
This program is for early-stage companies, ideally in the pre-seed or seed stage.
Can I participate remotely?
Yes, absolutely. Fundraise From Home is designed to be fully remote.
What kind of companies can apply?
The group of participating investors invests broadly. Companies from all sectors are welcome to apply.
Why are we using a video application form?
Since pitches will be hosted over video, we think it’s best founders apply over video too. This also gives us an opportunity to get to know you and your story better than a text description.
